Things are Moving in Week 6 It was great to be back on the fields last weekend. From our littlest kiddos to fast-growing teens, players gave it their all. We were especially proud of how our Girls 10U EXTRA team welcomed FC Pali from Pacific Palisades for a game at Victory Park.

🚨We’ve made some changes to the schedule this weekend:
We regret the inconvenience, but these field changes were made in the interest of player safety. As a general reminder, Coaches are notified of all schedule changes, but you can always. check the website to be sure.

Beyond the Ball Coaching Corner The Team You Have Now
With just a few games left, your team may look different than it did in September. Players have developed confidence, relationships have changed, and some may be feeling the effects of a long season. What worked at the beginning may need a little adjusting.
At Your Next Practice: NOTICE: What's different about your players now? ADJUST: Is there one routine or interaction you could change? TRY: Ask your team, “What's one thing we should do more of before the season ends?” Then listen. You don't have to use every suggestion. You're giving players an opportunity to reflect, use their voice, and help shape the final weeks of their season.
Sensory Sideline: For some players, movement can support attention and readiness to learn. Others may prefer to stand and watch. Before your next team talk, give players 30 seconds of movement with a ball: toe taps, gentle dribbling, or rolling the ball under their feet.
Notice: Does giving players a little movement, or a choice, change how they engage? Different players need different ways in.
Watch out for more Beyond the Ball Coach’s learning sessions - dates TBD.

Coaches: It's not too early to start thinking about post-season opportunities to continue playing soccer. AYSO Sections, Areas, and Regions host tournaments year-round. These provide a challenging opportunity to promote player development in a fun and safe environment.

Letter from the Commissioner
Hello everyone,
We have officially passed the halfway mark of our season. Wow, time is flying by. Everyone has settled into their roles: coaches, players, and spectators. While the weather has played a little havoc recently, the season is moving along.
I would encourage everyone to make the most of the next few weeks. This is what we have planned and worked towards for the past many months. I think sometimes we don’t stop and appreciate what we have, and now is the perfect time to do that. We have a community that has come together to make soccer possible for 2,400 children. It’s an amazing feat that takes everyone working together.
So this Saturday, enjoy watching it all happen: our kids playing the beautiful game of soccer together, under the guidance of our coaches and referees. The magic of Soccer Saturday is what we have created together. Let’s take home some positive memories this week.
