Registration for Spring Soccer 2026 is open!
Spring League (10U- 19U)
Spring League is similar to the Fall core season, with balanced teams competing against each other. Games will be on either Saturdays or Sundays, with practices once a week. Spring League is open to both returning and new players. Depending on sign-up numbers, we may play against teams from neighboring regions, and girls and boys may play together. More details will be shared closer to the start of the program.
Spring Team (6U – 8U)
For younger players this Spring, there will be a weekly team meetup, consisting of training, followed by a scrimmage. If you are a certified coach and would like to help coach this activity, contact 6U-8U Spring Season Coordinator Neil Harrington.

Kick off the 2026 MLS season with a blast as AYSO Region 13 heads to Carson to cheer on the hometown LA Galaxy in their season opener. There’s no better way to build our kids’ love of the game than by watching it played at the highest level, in an electric atmosphere, with friends and teammates.

Coming Next Fall: Age Group Cutoff Revisions
As we look ahead to this coming Fall season, please read below about important shifts in age group cutoff dates:
This fall, AYSO, in partnership with US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer, is implementing new age group cutoff dates for the 2026–2027 season. If your child was born between August and December, they will play an additional year in the division they played in this past fall. Please refer to the chart above for cutoff dates.

Winter Stars Update
The Winter Stars Program with AYSO Region 13 has had an exciting and energetic start, bringing families together each Sunday at Marshall Fundamental for an afternoon focused on fun, development, and community. Over the first several weeks, players quickly settled into the flexible jamboree-style format, rotating between skill-building activities and small-sided scrimmage games while working alongside both Region 13 volunteer coaches and professional coaches. Families have embraced the once-a-week structure, which allows players of multiple age groups to participate at the same time and location, creating a convenient and welcoming environment for everyone involved.
In addition to on-field activities, the program has introduced several enhancements, including uniform shirt and soccer ball distributions, a dedicated Skills Area led by volunteer coaches from community partners, and increased family volunteer participation to help with setup, breakdown, and weekly operations. Players have shown growing confidence and teamwork each week, while parents have become more comfortable navigating the fields and engaging with the program. Winter Stars continues to emphasize a pressure-free atmosphere centered on learning, exploration, and enjoyment of the game, reinforcing AYSO Region 13’s commitment to providing a positive soccer experience for all families.
All-Stars Update
Region 13 All-Star teams are coming up to the end of their regular seasons and competing for final playoff spots. What comes after? Check the Spring Soccer section above. All-Star teams often stay together to compete in tournaments in the Spring and Summer. Ask your coaches for more information, or contact Region 13 tournament coordinator Ben Hernandez-Stern.
Grad Series Update
Grad Series is at the halfway mark. 8U players, coaches, and refs are getting used to the 10U rules and having a blast. Week 8 will feature even matchups created using game data from weeks 4-7. These last 4 weeks will be memorable, competitive, and give everyone a taste of the upcoming 10U Fall experience.

Letter from the Commissioner
Hello everyone,
After the festivities of the Holidays, I always feel like January is a bit of a let-down. I’m never quite sure what I’m supposed to be doing as the new year gets running. But this year, I felt differently. AYSO Region 13 is not just for fall soccer - we have more programs going on right now than ever. All-Star teams are playing all over the area, 8U players are trying out the 10U game in Grad Series, and a bunch of kids are showing up on Sundays just to have fun in Winter Stars. I want to give a big shoutout to all of the people who are making those programs happen.
February also brings more excitement: The start of the MLS soccer season. We have a great opportunity this year for many of us to attend LA Galaxy games, courtesy of the LA Galaxy and City National Bank. Our first group outing will be in just a couple of weeks, at the Galaxy season opener. Signup above for free tickets - it’s going to be a blast.
